Flow forming stretches and compresses the cast barrel while the wheel spins, thinning the rim section and work-hardening the aluminium. The result sits between gravity cast and forged on both weight and cost.

A cast blank is mounted on a mandrel and rolled under pressure until the barrel reaches its target thickness. Only that section changes, so the face design you approved on paper keeps every spoke line and detail intact.
The rolled barrel carries less material than a gravity casting of identical size, which trims unsprung weight and responds faster to suspension input. Buyers usually pick this route when a fully forged wheel is above their price point.
Flow-formed wheels run in the same finish line as our cast and forged programmes: matte gold, matte silver, matte graphite, machined face combinations and custom colours, each packed after inspection before shipment.
Yes. Rotary forging, rim rolling and flow forming describe the same barrel-rolling operation. We list it as flow-formed on quotations so the process is unambiguous for your customs and technical documentation.
Most designs can be produced as forged, flow-formed or gravity cast. Send us the model name and target quantity and we confirm which construction is running or available for your order.
Flow-formed wheels are produced from 15 to 24 inch, including 18x8.0, 19x8.5, 20x9.0 and 22x10.5, with PCD drilled per application or to your specification.
